Thelma Golden, chief curator at the Studio Museum of Harlem, today announced the appointment of Legacy Russell to serve as assistant curator of exhibitions at the Studio Museum.
Her experience is in organizing exhibitions and events, writing for diverse audiences from popular to academic, and, most recently, serving as European Gallery Relations Lead at Artsy.
“It’s a great pleasure to welcome Legacy Russell to The Studio Museum in Harlem. She is an exciting emerging curatorial voice, combining keen critical and visual intelligence with broad experience in the cultural sphere and an energetic spirit of public engagement. As we enter our fiftieth anniversary year and prepare to begin construction on our new home, we’re thrilled to have Legacy join us in advancing the mission of the Studio Museum,” said Golden.
